In addition, being 33, I grew up with the seminal television show The X -Files. I was attracted to this programme for numerous reasons. Firstly, I have always been drawn to the idea that the corporeal reality that we are presented with, commonly ascribed the notion of being the absolute of all experiential possibility, is but a diminutive portion of a far grander, multi-dimensional realm of life. Due to my experiences, I developed a significant connection to the realm of the Paranormal and still actively research modern developments in this field. I was and still am enthused and intrigued by otherworldly events; ghosts, psychic phenomena, extra sensory perception, Psionic abilities such as telekinesis (being the ability to move objects simply through the power of ones mind), as well as UFO's, and the possibility for life to exist beyond this world.
The photo depicted here shows a medium named Eva Carrière photographed in 1912, with an apparent light appearing between her hands; just one example of supernatural phenomena. Being an abstract artist, such a creative style provides a certain freedom of expression, allowing one to pursue expression of any number of seemingly abstruse and undefinable phenomena. It is this expansive, illusive supernatural quiddity that I find abstract painting is directly in resonance with.
